Stopped by a small old school walking into the past of black history. We were met a a young man by the name of Jack Hadley who interestingly enough was the name on the building. The greeting was great and when he turned on the lights, the museum went forever. Four rooms of artifax from local schoold scholars to members of government to NFL football players and so on. Hundreds of photos from the past and some relating to the slavery at plantations. Jack spent more than an hour with us and we just ran out of time for our travelling schedule. You name it, I was there. This is a MUST SEE museum. My hat is off to Jack, JaMarcus and his Board for such a wonderful museum. Government must contribute to this historical museum $$ and with many ways of advertizing same. Many thanks to all!…

This museum, recommended to me by the fine guide on the Taste of Thomasville, was completely worthwhile. Jack Hadley, who first put together a Black History exhibit with his son, has now devoted the rest of his life to his fascinating collection. Mr. Hadley has an incredible collection, and everyone who has a chance should go to see it. The museum is really like stepping back in time, and you can lose yourself in all the artifacts for a long time.

I was totally impressed and in awe of the artifacts and history that this museum holds. And each time I visit, there is something new to learn and discover. I learned so much in one day when I visited the museum.

It is so important that we show respect for all cultures to discover that we are more alike than different, The curator has worked hard to create a diverse and well-researched collection of information on local and regional historical figures.
